17 Nov 2007 - Canterbury Youth FC donates £625 to Children in Need
Many thanks to everyone who supported Canterbury Youth Football Club's fundraising efforts for BBC Children in Need we are delighted to announce that as a club have donated £625 to this years appeal. The two evenings were great fun and as a club Canterbury Youth FC is overjoyed to be able to make a sizeable contribution that will go to help improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in the
The Club donated all fees from Wednesday nights training evening which rather than our usual training was run as a fun evening with some competitions and a mini world cup. Parents also donated cash in a collection buckets to supplement our contribution. Then on Friday evening our mini soccer centre held a fancy dress competition and with some encouragement from our Youth Development Officer Kevin Craddock parents contributed further. The club donated £460 and parents/members donated £165 in the collecting buckets to bring Canterbury Youth's overall contribution to £625.
